| Lecce are closing in on the signature of Pisa revelation José Ignacio Castillo and a deal could be completed this evening.
Castillo was one of the surprise stars of last season as he blasted 21 goals in Pisa’s miraculous run to the play-offs.
And now the Argentine ace is looking for a Serie A opportunity, which could be handed to him by Lecce.
“At the moment we are in talks with Lecce,” Castillo said to Tuttomercatoweb.
“Salentini sporting director Guido Angelozzi is in Pisa to discuss the situation with the club.
“There isn’t a big divide between the two sides – we have already had a first meeting and there will be another one this evening.
“I was happy at Pisa, but I am glad that this interest has arrived. It is a place I really like and I know the area because I used to be at Gallipoli.”
