Friday 31 August, 2007 | |
Experienced hitman Bernardo Corradi has returned to Parma in a loan deal with Manchester City.
The 31-year-old made his name at Lazio where he hit 23 goals in 69 games between 2002 and 2004.
After an unsuccessful spell at Valencia, the Tuscan marksman returned to the peninsula and played for Parma in the 2005-06 campaign.
Manchester City swooped to sign Corradi last summer, but after a respectable maiden Premier League season he has found himself second to fellow exile Rolando Bianchi at Eastlands.
Napoli had been heavily linked with the ex-Chievo man earlier in the summer, but Parma will now foot his £1m wage bill this term and have the option to make the deal permanent in June 2008.
Corradi is set to be unveiled with the Crociati shirt this weekend and could travel to Bergamo to watch his new side face Atalanta.
