Agent: Dinho may stay
Tuesday 8 April, 2008

Milan’s chances of luring Ronaldinho this summer have been dealt a blow after the player’s agent declared that his client might be staying put.

The Rossoneri have made no secret of their desire to lure the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year and have reportedly been drawing up a big-money contract offer.

‘Dinho has fallen out with Barça Coach Frank Rijkaard and there have been reports that he is keen to quit the club as soon as possible with Manchester City also in the frame.

“I work in the world of football and it is my job to travel and talk about personal matters when I think it is necessary,” Roberto Assis explained to Don Balon.

“Ronaldinho has a contract until 2010 and I am not looking for any other option.”

There have been suggestions that the Brazilian star has played his last game for the Spanish giants after being sidelined for six weeks with a torn thigh muscle.

“It’s a little early to say that,” Assis replied. “I hope he will be playing again soon because a player who has been in the hearts of the fans deserves to leave on a high.

“Decisions need to be made calmly at the right time and not during a tough period or in the heat of the moment.”
