Kaka and Real grow closer
Monday 6 April, 2009

Milan talisman Kaka has already told Real Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez he will sign for the Spanish giants this summer, according to Marca.

The 26-year-old Brazil international rejected the chance to join Manchester City in January but his relationship with Milan is reportedly strained.

Kaka did not want to leave the Rossoneri and was unhappy when President Silvio Berlusconi appeared willing to sell him for what would have been a world record fee of £107m.

The former World Player of the Year has long been linked with Los Merengues and has let it be known that they are the only club he would leave Milan for.

Perez is once again standing for the Real Madrid presidency and would like to rehabilitate the galacticos policy he implemented from 2000 to 2006.

In his last term as Real Madrid President, he tried to sign a big name every summer, bringing the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Ronaldo and David Beckham to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Perez resigned in 2006 after the apparent failure of his policy to deliver any noteworthy pieces of silverware for four seasons.

He remains the overwhelming favourite to win the elections, though, which will be held at the end of the season on July 5.

Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo are also at the top of Perez's wish list.
