As Napoli take on a Catania side under new management, Edy Reja urges his men to keep their foot on the accelerator.
“I have already told the lads that in these final rounds I want to gather as many points as possible. There are still 21 up for grabs and that’s a lot,” said the Coach.
“I’m no good at calculations, but I do want a great position in the final table. Napoli have the potential and the opportunity to do it.”
He fears a lack of motivation and concentration compared to today’s opponents Catania, who are in the relegation zone and making their debut under new boss Walter Zenga.
“I want to see the right level of concentration and tension. We know Catania are very fired up, but Napoli will not be giving away any gifts.
“I know Zenga from his work overseas and he is a Coach who deserves respect. I certainly wish him well for this new career in Italy.”
As for Reja, he has been at the San Paolo for four seasons, taking them from Serie C1 to the top flight.
“It would be nice to continue here. After my experience at Napoli I could even call an end to my management career, considering how many wonderful moments I have had in this splendid city.”
