Marino fired up for Inter
Saturday 4 April, 2009

Pasquale Marino is confident Udinese can make up for Antonio Di Natale’s absence with a surge of enthusiasm that comes with facing Inter.

The star striker will be out for the rest of the season after partially tearing knee ligaments during Italy’s 2-0 win in Montenegro last week.

Damiano Ferronetti, Andrea Coda, Fernando Tissone, Aleksandr Lukovic and Samir Handanovic are also injured along with the suspended Alexis Sanchez and Maurizio Domizzi.

“All the players in the squad have to get used to playing a part, because in these final two months we must give everything we’ve got in Serie A and the UEFA Cup,” said the Coach.

On Sunday at 18.00 UK time they encounter leaders Inter, a side Udinese have often done well against.

“We are going into this game with a great deal of enthusiasm and the desire to get a result against such a strong opponent,” continued Marino.

“We have a few players missing, but also others who are at the top of their form physically and psychologically.

“We are ready to do well and a good result here can give us more belief in our own abilities.”

Udinese squad: Belardi, Koprivec, Felipe, Pasquale, Sala, Zapata, Asamoah, D’Agostino, Inler, Isla, Obodo, Zimling, Floro Flores, Ighalo, Pepe, Quagliarella, Sissoko, Bradaschia, Cobrea.
