No hard feelings for Camo
Tuesday 29 April, 2008

Giancarlo Camolese has reacted graciously to his dismissal from the Livorno bench and maintains he will be cheering the Amaranto on from his sofa.

The former Vicenza tactician was brought in to replace Fernando Orsi back in October after the Tuscans made a miserable start to the campaign.

After a positive spell, the Labronici went into freefall and are rock bottom after losing 4-1 to Milan – a defeat that proved to be Camolese’s last act at the Armando Picchi.

“From now on I will be Livorno’s No 1 fan,” Camolese told journalists.

“It’s not an ideal situation because everyone wants to get to know the players and to take them forward with their work.

“Any evaluation should be saved for the end of the season and not made with three games to go. Survival is still possible.”

Orsi’s first game back is a trip to Atalanta before back-to-back six-pointers against Torino and Empoli.
