France international defender Julien Escudé is committed to Sevilla but admits he finds a move to Inter tempting.
Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified the 29-year-old former Cannes youngster as the solution to his side's problems at centre-back.
Since joining Sevilla from Ajax in 2006, Escudé has established himself as one of the best defenders in Spain, if not in Europe.
Inter have tried several different combinations at centre-back this season, never settling on one in particular partly because of an injury crisis.
At Chelsea, Mourinho gave his side stability by making John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho his No 1 defensive partnership.
I have a contract with Sevilla until 2011 and I like this club, Escudé told skysports.com. But when Inter, one of the best teams in the world coached by one of the best trainers, is interested in you it means you must be doing something right.
I have always looked to respect my contract, but in football you never know what can happen, he concluded.
Sevilla are keen to hold on to Escudé, but a fee of around £10m is believed be enough to convince them to sell.
