Lazio will be without Tommaso Rocchi for their crunch ties with Juventus and Palermo after tests showed a thigh problem.
The striker pulled up during Friday’s training session clutching his right thigh and this morning in-depth examinations developed a new diagnosis.
There is a slight strain with bruising to the thigh muscle, which is very painful when running.
Although it is not serious and should clear up by next week, Lazio want Rocchi to be at full fitness for the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
That tie is in the balance after the 0-0 draw away to Inter and the decider is at the Olimpico on May 7.
Simply reaching the Final could be enough to qualify the Biancocelesti for the UEFA Cup next season, as potential finalists Roma are already in the Champions League.
