Genoa must conquer Bologna to recapture fourth place from Fiorentina, but Gian Piero Gasperini warns “this is a classic booby trap.”
Last night’s 4-1 victory over Roma sent the Viola into the top four and now their rivals for a Champions League spot must make their response.
“We are taking on a Bologna side in a tricky situation, as they are desperate for points and I consider them a strong side,” said Gasp.
Bologna are in the drop zone and still coming to terms with Giuseppe Papadopulo becoming their third Coach of the campaign.
“Serie A is extremely balanced and there’s no such thing as an easy game. This tie, for example, is a classic booby trap.
“We must have great respect for our opponents and react to our own defeat to Lazio. At this stage of the season we are prepared to face any side, regardless of their tactical set-up.”
Diego Milito is back in the squad after a month on the sidelines and could even start at the Dall’Ara.
“We all hope to have the Milito from the first 12 rounds of the season, he could give a very important contribution.
“Above all we must live in the moment and enjoy it, as we are challenging for a target that doesn’t happen every year.”
