Inter inspire Donadoni
Saturday 25 April, 2009

Roberto Donadoni hopes the motivation of facing leaders Inter at the San Paolo can spur Napoli back to winning ways.

“We know what the Nerazzurri can do and will give everything we've got in this match,” said the Coach who is still without a win since replacing Edy Reja on March 10.

“This is one of those games where the motivation propagates itself. We need to grow and understand that every match should be approached as if we were facing Inter.”

The Partenopei have struggled to impress the fans with their football as well as the results recently, but Donadoni hopes taking on the Serie A leaders can inspire his men.

“Jose Mourinho is a very talked-about character, so I won't give my opinion on him. Mourinho is a Coach who has a certain character and way of presenting himself, as everyone does.

“We respect him and he should be given the same consideration as anybody else. I am thinking of how to put out my best team, as we have a few problems, especially in defence.”

Fabiano Santacroce is still struggling with an ankle injury, but is in the squad along with flu-suffering Gianluca Grava.

Paolo Cannavaro sits out a ban with the injured Leandro Rinaudo, Luigi Vitale, Walter Gargano, Christian Maggio and Gennaro Iezzo.

Napoli: Navarro, Bucci, Aronica, Contini, Grava, Santacroce, Amodio, Blasi, Bogliacino, Datolo, Hamsik, Mannini, Montervino, Pazienza, Denis, Lavezzi, Pià, Russotto, Zalayeta.
