Goran Pandev’s agent has warned Lazio that the striker is hot property. “Six of the eight Champions League quarter-finalists want him.”
The Macedonian has been consistently impressive over the last few seasons with 45 goals over the past four campaigns.
“Pandev has a contract until 2010 and this is why half of Europe desires him,” Carlo Pallavicino told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“His contract is nearing its expiration and he could free himself through Article 17.
“Who wants him? I’ll just say that six of the eight Champions League quarter-finalists want him.”
The list of those squads includes Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Villarreal, Porto, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Of those sides, Bayern were already very close to signing Pandev earlier in the season and would be ready to make another bid.
“[Lazio President Claudio] Lotito is very tenacious and I am sure he’ll do everything to keep Pandev, as it would be a great coup for him.
“We will talk about this in a couple of weeks, as there are other priorities like the Coppa Italia Final.”
