| Rossi: We deserved it |

Delio Rossi insists Lazio fully deserved to reach the Coppa Italia Final and hailed Mauro Zarate, but wouldn't be drawn on his own future.
We wanted to do well and I think we deserved this Final, knocking out Milan and Juve along the way, he said after the 4-1 aggregate semi-final victory over Juventus.
I am above all happy for these lads, as we had some peaks and troughs this season. This team has quality and above all is young with many who were facing the top flight for the first time. I think the future is on their side.
Zarate opened the scoring with a stunner from distance that curled into the top corner from 30 yards, but the Argentine is still on loan from Al-Sadd and his option has not yet been taken up.
I think that if Lazio want to improve then they have to keep their best players. Mauro used to play a bit for himself, but he is learning to work within the team and getting better all the time.
Rossi's future is also far from secure, as his contract expires at the end of the season and there are strong reports Sampdoria's Walter Mazzarri - who may well face him in the Final - is the replacement.
I have already said the work of a Coach should not be evaluated within a single game or a group of matches. I am not an alchemist.
The club has every right to evaluate the tactician based on what it has achieved and what it wants to achieve.
We will talk about my future later on. This is the time to enjoy this victory.
