Napoli are being tipped to pounce for unsettled Inter marksman Julio Cruz this summer.
Cruz was a highly influential figure in Roberto Mancini's Scudetto-winning side last term.
But the Argentine ace has had to settle for a peripheral role under Jose Mourinho, who sees him as a fourth-choice striker.
With Robert Acquafresca expected to return from loan at Cagliari in the summer, Cruz's chances of commanding a starting place may be still smaller next season.
And the 34-year-old, whose contract is set to expire, is said to be keen to find a new challenge.
A number of potential suitors have been suggested, but Napoli are the most interested.
New boss Roberto Donadoni is a fan of Cruz and wants to team him with compatriot Ezequiel Lavezzi at the Stadio San Paolo.
