Roma defender Philippe Mexes has denied claims he will be joining Milan at the end of the season and pledged his future to the Giallorossi.
Reports originated in the last few weeks suggesting that the Rossoneri were looking for a top-class central defender to partner Alessandro Nesta and reinforce their back line.
I am happy with Milan's interest but I have a contract and no intention to go anywhere, said the 25-year-old.
All the Romans want me and my contract is with the Giallorossi. At the moment I am happy here and we will continue together.
The former Auxerre player, who moved to the Eternal City back in 2004, could take advantage of a clause that would allow him to leave the club for an £11m transfer fee.
This is a normal clause. I had it in my contract before the renewal, it's an insurance that I do not wish to use.
I know what I want. I will stay at the Olimpico because I extended my contract 12 months ago and I feel really good here. he concluded.
Despite being one of France's best defenders, Mexes may miss out on Les Bleu's Euro 2008 squad after repeatedly being overlooked during qualifying.
The strong centre-back has a bad reputation back home following his controversial move to Roma and his relationship with Coach Raymond Domenech is far from perfect.
However, he can be happy of his status at the Olimpico, where both Spalletti and the fans hold him in very high regard.
