Inter have reportedly tabled a bumper bid for Genoa's Brazilian ace Thiago Motta.
Motta was a hugely exciting prospect before a recurring knee injury brought his career to a screeching stop.
After rescinding his contract with Atletico Madrid, Genoa stepped in and offered the 26-year-old a chance and he has been superb at Marassi.
The Sao Paulo native has been one of the Grifone's star performers during a campaign of overachievement.
Several top European clubs are said to be interested in snatching Motta away from Genoa but Inter may be at the head of the queue.
A report in Tuttosport today claims that the Italian champions have already approached Genoa with a £25m proposal.
Inter have also been regularly linked with star striker Diego Milito, but Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi has made it clear that he won't part with his star men lightly.
