Dunga: Diego's ready for Italy
Tuesday 21 April, 2009

Brazil boss Carlos Dunga thinks that Werder Bremen midfielder Diego would excel in Serie A.

Diego has been a target for Juventus for the last few months and negotiations are reportedly underway to bring the playmaker to Turin.

The player has expressed his desire to sign for the Old Lady and it seems that his international Coach would support the transfer.

“I think Diego would do well at Juventus or at Inter,” Dunga told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He is a great champion and he has creativity and technical ability, which allows him to play either as a trequartista or as a second striker.”

However, Juve may need to dig deep to land Diego as he is being watched by a number of clubs and Bremen are reluctant to let him leave.

A bid of over £15m may be necessary and that could cause the Turin giants to look elsewhere.
