Milan striker Pippo Inzaghi believes the current squad can still do great things despites statements to the contrary made by Kaka.
Last week, Kaka said Milan were at the end of an era and in desperate need of strong investment if they are to remain competitive.
This team still has a future despite what I have read, Inzaghi told journalists just hours after scoring a hat-trick in Milan's 5-1 victory over Torino.
The 35-year-old, who has now scored 12 goals in 10 starting appearances for the Rossoneri this season, was brimming with confidence.
My objective is to keep going forward like this, Inzaghi explained. Every week I read that Milan lack a heavyweight striker, that I don't score headers and I enjoy it.
Milan are now second in Serie A with six games remaining this season. They welcome Palermo to San Siro next weekend.
