Inter are reportedly using Nike to intercept Milan’s negotiations for Ronaldinho, but the Rossoneri will meet with Barcelona today.
Nerazzurri patron Massimo Moratti had said the Spaniards “wouldn’t move a muscle before hearing our proposal.”
It is claimed on Sky Sport Italia that the offer has now come in, as his son Angelo Mario Moratti flew out to Barcelona for talks.
As Barca, Ronaldinho and Inter are all sponsored by Nike, they hope to use the kit giant to help steer him towards Moratti’s side of San Siro.
However, Milan have also sent emissary Ernesto Bronzetti out to Barcelona for initial talks on taking both Ronaldinho and Gianluca Zambrotta.
These went well, especially as the Rossoneri have already agreed personal terms with Dinho’s agent for a four-year contract worth £6.7m per season plus image rights.
Official negotiations will get down to details today at Barca’s offices in the Nou Camp and it is reported Milan could snatch both players for a bargain £20m.
General manager Adriano Galliani will only fly out for the final meeting in which contracts are signed and exchanged, but Sky Sport Italia thinks that could be as early as the middle of next week.
There is of course the Premier League option, as both Chelsea and Manchester City maintain their interest in the Brazilian.
“Few can afford Ronaldinho, so Milan and Chelsea are the clubs who have sought him out most insistently,” revealed FIFA agent Bronzetti on RAI programme Dribbling.
“Ronaldinho doesn’t really like English football though, he much prefers Milan.”
