Acquafresca: No Nerazzurri regrets
Thursday 17 April, 2008

Cagliari hitman Robert Acquafresca has no regrets at leaving Inter for Sardinia last summer.

The Azzurrini star has been one of few bright spots for the Isolani this term and has hit a creditable eight goals for the relegation-threatened side.

However, Acquafresca could have been playing for Inter, who own half his rights, had he not been used as a bargaining chip in the Nerazzurri’s pre-season swoop for David Suazo.

“If Inter were to call me back to San Siro? It’s too early to talk about that,” the 20-year-old said in the Corriere dello Sport.

“At Inter now, Mario Balotelli is playing and scoring and seems to be finding space.

“But I chose Cagliari and if I had to make my decision again I would do the same thing.

“I want to give my all for Cagliari because they are my squad and my only objective is Serie A survival.”
