Massimo Oddo has returned to training ahead of schedule just two weeks after knee surgery and knows that it's do or die for Milan.
It had appeared that Oddos season was over when he underwent knee meniscus surgery at the start of the month.
But just over two weeks later, the former Lazio man is back in training and closing in on a return.
I am feeling good, he insisted. I feel like I am fully recovered after the operation and I have already had several personal training sessions.
Now I am ready to train with the rest of the group and we will see how I go in the next few days.
Milan are close to missing out on next seasons Champions League as they trail Fiorentina by four points with just five games remaining.
The Diavolo were left reeling after their 3-2 reverse against Juventus in Turin last weekend, but Oddo was impressed with the way his teammates played.
I have watched the lads train and I have seen us play well in the last few games, but we have been unlucky as can happen from time to time, he stressed.
We deserved more against Juventus from the way we played, but we came away from Turin empty-handed.
Now we have to win every game in order to reach our objective.
We have to take each game as it comes, starting with Reggina on Sunday, and then we just have to hope that other teams in the race for the Champions League slip up.
I dont think I will be ready to play on Sunday, but I am at the Coachs disposal and we will keep a close eye on when I am able to play.
