Zlatan set for Sweden
Thursday 17 April, 2008

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will spent “at least 10 days” in Sweden to try and cure his knee injury, ruling him out of two crucial games.

The giant marksman enjoyed a prolific start to the campaign, but has been suffering from increasing knee pain over the last few months.

Roberto Mancini hasn’t been able to call on Ibra since March 29 against Lazio when he had to come off with 20 minutes remaining.

“We have planned for Ibrahimovic to follow an individual training programme for at least 10 days in the hope of curing his left knee injury,” a statement on Inter’s website reads.

The 15-goal hitman is now almost certain to miss this Sunday’s trip to Torino and the visit of Cagliari on April 27.

There are also question marks over whether the 26-year-old will return to fitness for the derby against Milan on May 4.
