Galliani has no interest in Adriano
Thursday 16 April, 2009

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani insists the Rossoneri have no intention of making a move for Inter striker Adriano.

The Brazilian hitman looks likely to be a free agent shortly after Inter chief Massimo Moratti admitted he was ready to rescind his contract.

Adri has regularly been linked with a move across Milan, but it seems the troubled marksman wouldn't be welcome in the Diavolo camp.

“Nobody here has ever thought about Adriano,” Galliani declared to journalists.

“Milan have nothing to do with the Adriano situation - it is an internal matter for Inter to resolve.

“I won't talk about the market until the end of the season. I have clear ideas in my head, but I won't be discussing them.”

Galliani was willing to talk about the Rossoneri's bid to overtake Juventus before the end of the season.

“I don't like to make compromises,” he said. “Juve are just two points ahead of us, but we have Genoa behind us and also Fiorentina and they are doing well, so anything could happen.”

The Milan director concluded by reiterating his demand for striking starlet Alexandre Pato to receive more protection from referees.

“He is targeted when he goes on the pitch - these things happen when players are still young,” Galliani asserted.

“The defenders have been excessively hard on Pato. Referees don't need to safeguard any individual but to clamp down on violent play generally.”

Milan think to Adri
Inter are worried Adriano could follow the likes of Christian Vieri and Ronaldo and join rivals Milan if they let him go, according to the Italian Press. More
