Silvio Berlusconi is confident that Barcelona star Ronaldinho will be playing for Milan next term.
Despite interest from city rivals Inter, the Rossoneri are in pole position to sign the Brazilian ace, according to agent and brother Roberto De Assis.
Milan President Berlusconi, who became Italys prime minister yesterday by winning a third general election, met De Assis late on Monday night and has revealed that the deal is progressing.
Will Ronaldinho arrive? For the time being his brother has arrived, Berlusconi said on Radio Monte Carlo.
At dinner, De Assis brought me Ronaldinhos shirt with a very affectionate message written on it. I have very high hopes.
Ronaldinho is under contract at Barca until 2010, but he is reportedly keen to quit the club after falling out with Coach Frank Rijkaard this season.
Although Dinho has stressed his admiration for the Diavolo, it has been suggested that he is waiting to see whether they secure Champions League qualification before he commits his future to San Siro.
