Napoli are being linked with a swoop for Udinese midfield star Gaetano D'Agostino.
Vesuviani chief Aurelio De Laurentiis has declared that his squad are missing a midfield dynamo.
New Coach Roberto Donadoni is a known admirer of former Roma ace D'Agostino, who is currently impressing for the Zebrette.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, D'Agostino is Napoli's principal transfer target.
Although Udinese are unlikely to be willing to part with the 26-year-old, Napoli may be willing to present an offer Giampaolo Pozzo can't resist.
The two clubs have a good business relationship after recent deals, including the transfer of Maurizio Domizzi.
D'Agostino is widely valued at around £10m but Udinese may accept an offer of around £8m.
