| | Agent: Milan close to Dinho |
Monday 14 April, 2008 | |
Ronaldinhos agent Roberto De Assis has stressed that Milan are in pole position to sign the Brazilian ace, but no deal has been done yet.
Dinhos brother has been in Milan for a week and has been negotiating solely with the Rossoneri, who claim to have a basic agreement.
However, Inter President Massimo Moratti confused matters when he declared that Ronaldinhos future depended on the Nerazzurris decisions.
In an effort to silence the relentless Press speculation and clarify the situation, De Assis has insisted that Milan are closing in on securing the two-time FIFA World Player of the Years services.
Milan are enthusiastically involved in negotiations with Ronaldinho, he told French TV channel Canal Plus.
We have made lots of steps forward, even though that doesnt mean that the deal is done.
As long as Dinho is under contract with Barcelona, we cannot say anything for certain. But Milan are in the strongest position to sign him.
While De Assis statement will have put smiles on Milan faces, it remains to be seen whether Ronaldinho would be willing to join the Diavolo should they fail to qualify for next seasons Champions League.
