Genoa keep eye on Eder
Sunday 12 April, 2009

Genoa are keeping a close eye on Frosinone’s Brazilian forward Eder, who has been dubbed ‘the new Kaka.’

The Grifone have overachieved this term and are pushing for a place in next season’s Champions League after beating Juventus 3-2 last night.

If Gian Piero Gasperini’s men do secure a place in Europe’s premier club competition they will need to add some strength in depth.

The Rossoblu may also have to find a replacement for Argentine goal machine Diego Milito, who has been linked with a big-money move to Inter.

At the age of 22, Eder is setting Serie B alight, scoring 10 goals and providing a hatful of assists.

The Brazilian is expected to find a top-flight club this summer and a fee of around £4m would be sufficient for his signature.

However, Genoa may face competition from Palermo and Chievo, who are also said to be tracking Eder.
