Azzurri boss Marcello Lippi could join Juventus as a technical director after the 2010 World Cup.
Lippi was seen dining with Juve executive Jean-Claude Blanc at a restaurant in Recco near Genoa on Tuesday.
While the Bianconeri camp insists that the main topic of conversation was the international future of Juve hitman Amauri, there may be other reasons for the meeting.
Reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Lippi is considering an offer to move upstairs at Juve after the World Cup in South Africa.
The World Cup winning tactician already turned down that role in January 2008.
Lippi led Juve between 1994 and 1999 and from 2001 to 2004 when he won five Scudetti, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia.
