Mario GIANNI 1924-35
The custodian won three Scudetti with the Rossoblu in 1925, 1929 and 1936, appearing in 345 matches for the Emiliani. Also called the Magic Cat due to his acrobatic saves, he was capped six times by the Nazionale and is remembered as one of the symbols of Bologna.
Eraldo MONZEGLIO 1926-35
This elegant right-back was an excellent interpreter of the so-called WM formation which was popular in the 1930s. Monzeglio, a protagonist in the 1928-29 season when Bologna won their second Scudetto, also appeared 25 times for Italy as he won both the 1934 and 1938 World Cups.
Tazio ROVERSI 1965-79
A left-back who made 341 League appearances during his 15 years with the club, stats only bettered by Giacomo Bulgarelli and Carlo Reguzzoni. The Blond Cloud also played for his country under Ferruccio Valcareggi the only Bologna player called up by the former Fiorentina midfielder. An icon for fans, Roversi suffered from epilepsy after hanging up his boots and died of brain cancer in 1999 at the age of 52.
Michele ANDREOLO 1935-43
The Uruguay-born defender made his Serie A debut in 1935 at the age of 23, immediately winning the Scudetto with Bologna. He repeated the feat the following year when he also won his first Italian cap. He was part of the World Cup-winning squad in 1938 and won two more Scudetti with the Rossoblu in 1939 and 1941.
Giacomo BULGARELLI 1959-75
A top-quality midfielder who spent his entire career with the Rossoblu, Bulgarelli holds the club record for appearances with 486 during a 16-year period. The Italian played a key role in the 1964 side which won the club their seventh and last Scudetto by defeating Inter in a play-off. Winner of 29 caps, Bulgarelli played in the 1962 and 1966 World Cups and won the 1968 European Championship. Still considered a legend in Bologna, he currently works as a TV pundit.
Giancarlo MAROCCHI 1982-88, 96-2000
Having grown up in Bolognas youth team, Ciccio made his Serie B debut in 1982 and was one of the stars in the 1987-88 team guided by Coach Gigi Maifredi, which returned to the First Division following a six-year absence. After eight years at Juventus and 11 Italian caps, Marocchi returned to Bologna in 1996 for a further four campaigns before retiring at the age of 35.
Ezio PASCUTTI 1954-69
The winger spent his entire career at Bologna and was part of the impressive squad which won the 1964 Scudetto, just a few days after mythical club President Renato Dall'Aras sad death. Scorer of 130 Serie A goals, he was also capped 17 times by Italy and was a part of their disappointing 1962 and 1966 World Cup campaigns.
Angelo SCHIAVIO 1923-38
The striker is the clubs all-time scorer, having netted 252 times during his 15 years with the Rossoblu. He made his debut in 1923, winning his first Scudetto two years later with the team which made the world tremble. Schiavio was the Serie A top scorer in the 1931-32 season and won two more League titles in 1936 and 1937. He was capped 21 times for the national team winning the 1934 World Cup and scored 15 goals.
Giuseppe SIGNORI 1998-2004
Beppegol started his adventure with the Rossoblu after six seasons at Lazio. The 12th top scorer of all-time for Bologna, he netted 84 goals with the Emiliani before ending his Italian career in 2006. The seventh highest scorer in Serie A history with 188 goals, he was also capped 28 times by Italy, but failed to leave his mark with the Azzurri.
Helmut HALLER 1962-68
The German, who scored 58 goals for Bologna, joined the Rossoblu from Augsburg and was part of the 1964 Scudetto-winning team, where he played next to Cold Dane Harald Nielsen. The playmaker, who moved to Juventus before returning to his hometown in 1973, was capped 33 times by West Germany and scored the opening goal in the 1966 World Cup Final.
Giuseppe SAVOLDI 1968-75 & 1979-82
This striker, who made his Serie A debut with Atalanta in 1965, joined Bologna three years later, making 201 appearances and scoring 85 goals during his seven-season spell with the Rossoblu. After four years at Napoli, he returned to Bologna for three more seasons, scoring 11 times in 29 appearances.
