Best goals: Golaccio!!!
As you can imagine, there have been some stunning goals during Calcio Italia's lifetime so picking out the top 15 - in no particular order - was as complex as a Fabio Quagliarella screamer
Paul Gascoigne - Pescara v Lazio
It's not quite up there with his goal against Scotland at Euro '96, but Gazza's slalom run through the Pescara defence was the closest he got to reaching his potential at Lazio.

Dejan Savicevic - Milan v Barcelona
Aside from the Serbian's cheeky lob being inch perfect, he also happened to do it in the biggest club game of them all - the Champions League Final - in a 4-0 rout of Barcelona.

Alessandro Del Piero - Juventus v Fiorentina
A goal didn't look on the cards when a long-ball was hoofed forward, but Del Piero had other ideas. Showing unbelievable control, he sent a first-time volley over the 'keeper's head to complete Juve's comeback from 2-0 down.

George Weah - Milan v Verona
He wasn't voted the world's best player in 1995 for nothing. After picking up the ball in his own half, Weah showed incredible strength and speed to run the length of the pitch before firing home.

Youri Djorkaeff - Inter v Roma
Ever wondered where Panini got the inspiration for their logo from? Well, it wasn't from Djorkaeff's outrageous bicycle-kick against Roma - but it was a damn good impersonation of Carlo Parola.

Alessandro Del Piero - Juventus v Borussia Dortmund
Why, oh why was Pinturicchio left on the bench for the 1997 Champions League Final? With his side 2-0 down, Del Piero produced the goods with an audacious flick at the near post, but it was too little too late.

Alvaro Recoba - Inter v Brescia
It was the game the whole world was watching - Ronaldo's Serie A debut for Inter. Instead, some Uruguayan kid stole the show with a stunning free-kick and an outrageous effort from 35-yards.

Hidetoshi Nakata - Perugia v Piacenza
The man from the Land of the Rising Sun certainly shone brightly in Serie A for Perugia. With his back to goal, the only way Nakata could beat the goalkeeper was with a bicycle-kick - and that's exactly what he did.

Roberto Mancini - Parma v Lazio
Mancio was often described as someone who “played for the gallery.” Never was that point illustrated better than with this spectacular back-heel in mid-air. Pippo Maniero scored an identical goal in the same week but it just wasn't the same…

Mauro Bressan - Fiorentina v Barcelona
The term 'spectacular' is unlikely to have been one you'd associate with Bressan before seeing this scissor-kick effort from 30-yards. He could try it another million times and not get the same result.

Mattias Almeyda - Lazio v Parma
The Argentine was a fine defensive midfielder, but a scorer of great goals? Check out this net-busting effort past a stranded Gianluigi Buffon before answering.

Roberto Baggio - Brescia v Atalanta
He might have been approaching the end of his career, but this audacious chip by Il Divin Codino shows that he was still thinking one step ahead. The 'keeper may as well have been waving goodbye to the ball.

Francesco Totti - Inter v Roma
Like Gazza, the Roma skipper was a big fan of chips - so much so that he had a type of shot named after him. This effort at Inter is the perfect example of the Totti 'spoon', with Julio Cesar left clutching at thin air.

Francesco Totti - Sampdoria v Roma
This goal is not quite up there with Marco Van Basten's legendary Euro '88 volley, but it's not far off. Er Pupone couldn't have struck this any cleaner from the most acute of angles - and on his weaker foot, no less.

Fabio Quagliarella - Chievo v Sampdoria
Despite doing his best to monopolise the Goal of the Season competition last term, this effort from the little goal machine sticks out above the rest. A thumping half-volley from over 40-yards out. What more is there to say?
