What a shame that World Cup matches at this lovely ground have been totally overshadowed by the political spectres which cloud Zimbabwe's landscape. The Harare Sports Club is one of world cricket's more picturesque spots, with colourful foliage and a Dutch-gabled pavilion catching the eye. Facilities are top-notch too, eleven years after the ground staged its first Test match, although the regular capacity of around 10,000 isn't challenged too often.
