Chittagong Stadium, formerly known as the MA Aziz Stadium, began life as a first-class venue for East Pakistan in the 1950s but has now become the country's second Test venue behind Dhaka.
Prior to England's winter visit in 2003 it had hosted four Tests and five ODIs, but Bangladesh are still awaiting their first victory there.
The last Test played there was in April 2003 when South Africa triumphed by an innings and 60 runs with Jacques Rudolph scoring 222 not out, still the highest score on the ground.
That match also saw the best Test bowling on the ground with South Africa's Paul Adams (10-106) claiming five wickets in each innings.
