The scene of New Zealand's first ever Test victory, in their 45th Test, against the West Indies in 1955-56, Eden Park in Auckland is recognised as the country's major sports stadium, which hosts a number of events including rugby and cricket.
This ground also saw New Zealand record the lowest ever Test score, 26 all out against England in 1955.
A distinctive characteristic of the ground is its unusual dimensions, which make it not unlike a baseball diamond and ensure that setting fields in never easy.
The ground underwent major renovation before the 1992 World Cup and lies about five miles from the city centre.
