THE CRICKET SHOW

Mark Nicholas

Week 1 Preview - 17 May

A tale of four captains

Channel 4's award-winning cricket coverage returns to our screens on Saturday with a new-look half hour Cricket Show featuring exclusive interviews with four England captains.

Central to this weekend's opening show will be a revealing and candid interview between Clare Connor, captain of England Women and C4's latest recruit, and Nasser Hussain, the England Test captain.

The pair will reflect on a tough winter for Hussain and his troops in Australia and South Africa but also look ahead to Thursday's 1st Test against Zimbabwe at Lord's.

Ofcourse, since Hussain was last seen in England colours on these shores he has relinquished the one-day captaincy and the Cricket Show has another scoop with former skipper Michael Atherton talking to Michael Vaughan, Hussain's successor as leader of the one-day side.

Elsewhere on the programme Adam Darke returns with a profile of England's latest bowling hope, Lancashire's pin-up speedster James Anderson.

As ever the show will be hosted by presenter Mark Nicholas – he captained England 'A' – and will cover the usual round-up of scores, news and previews.
