This week's Cricket Roadshow takes across the water to Ireland, coming live from Lisburn CC on Saturday morning as Mark Nicholas and Sybil Ruscoe explore the game's history and development on the "Emerald Isle".
Newly appointed Irish coach Adrian Birrell a South African brings viewers up to speed with the national team's progress and ambitions, roving reporter Adam Darke finds an excuse to sample the local brew with a feature on why club tours to Ireland are becoming increasingly popular and the members of the host club Lisburn CC shed light on the local cricket scene.
Also on the show is Middlesex batsman Ed Joyce, the first born and bred Irishman to hit a century in the County Championship, as well as a nostalgic look back at the national team's finest hour in 1968 when a mightily hungover West Indian touring team was bowled out for just 25.
Elsewhere on the programme the ,b>Roadshow looks back at an intriguing opening Test, reflecting on the highs and lows for Nasser Hussain's team as they fought back from following-on with a record breaking second innings total.
David Graveney, chairman of selectors for the ECB, will also be joining the Roadshow to announce the England squad the 2nd npower Test, due to start at Edgbaston on Thursday.
