cricket4.com is pleased to premiere Hawk-Eye online; the first time a web-based interactive analysis tool has been available for you to have the opportunity to find the strengths and weaknesses of each player and give your feedback to The Analyst.

Using Hawk-Eye technology you will be able to view where each ball pitched and passed the stumps, and analyse which areas have been most productive for each batsman and bowler. This new cricketing perspective opens the door for a whole new range of talking points and comment.

Our first 'live' experience with Hawk-Eye came during England's 1st Test against Pakistan at Lord's in May, a match which was notable in this context for the way Pakistan's quicker bowlers targeted Nasser Hussain by pitching short to him.

You could say that their tactic paid off in as much as he came out of the game with a broken finger and so wasn't able to play at Old Trafford, although it would be churlish to suggest they actually tried to injure him. Far from it; Hawk-Eye simply shows that there was a deliberate strategy for a player deemed important to the opposition, and for the first time Channel 4 was able to demonstrate it to you

We hope you enjoy Hawk-Eye online as we improve and develop it during the Ashes series.
