Umpires

Each match has two umpires standing in the middle, while in Test matches now there is a third umpire who adjudicates when television replays are required (for catches, run outs, stumpings and fours/sixes) and match referee who oversees on-field discipline.

The umpire at the bowling end stands directly behind the stumps while the umpire at the other end stands square to the wicket to adjudicate on run outs and stumpings. They change ends after each side has completed one innings, but never in mid-innings.
