Jason Gibb
Jason trained as a marine biologist and has been diving for 16 years. Now a producer and director for independent television company RDF Media, Wreck Detectives was Jason's idea as a longheld ambition to make a programme about diving.

Favourite shipwreck?
The Lawford. Having Ken and Vernon, survivors from the wreck, there brought the whole thing to life. Makes our investigation really worthwhile.

Best ever diving experience?
The first dive on the Stirling Castle. The Stirling's notorious for bad viz. We went down and it was phenomenal! The best viz in 15 years.

Scariest Wrecks moment?
I once recorded over 10 minutes of footage while cleaning the camera. I felt so bad! I managed to retake it on the last dive so it was OK in the end.

Is it much more difficult diving while using a camera?
Definitely. It takes up your hands so you can't adjust your diving equipment. And it creates extra drag, making it harder to swim through the water.

How did you fit filming Wrecks round the World Cup matches?
It was my job to sort out the dive schedule and it turns out that the tides were wrong for diving on the mornings of the matches.

If you were shipwrecked on an island, what three items would you want to have?
Running shoes, my QPR alarm clock that plays the old theme tune to Match of the Day and sun cream.
