The Presenters

Lisa Rogers

Lisa Rogers

As a child on her parents' small farm, Lisa talked to the cows about her career aspirations to be an astronaut, a sculptor or a disco dancer. If she failed to reach these dizzy heights however, she did at the very least want to wear off-the-wall outfits, make a big mess without getting into trouble, and one day persuade a boy to kiss her (any boy in fact, as there was a distinct lack of takers at the time.)

The years passed and she worked as a lipstick seller, a cleaner and a Santa's elf, but none of these jobs quite hit the mark when it came to realising her childhood ambitions.

But Lisa's luck changed and after having found her dream job on Scrapheap Challenge she fulfilled her childhood dreams. She has been out under the stars on those late-night builds. She has worn lots of frankly barking costumes (her favourites involve the sporting of facial hair).

And she even managed to persuade a boy to kiss her – the captain of team Maximus, with whom she has a little scrap baby daughter called Spark Plug. As a friend said to her: 'You're the only person I know who could go on Scrapheap Challenge and end up making a baby.'
