Spirits are high, until they discover a measuring mishap. A traditional trebuchet has a long throwing arm and a shorter weight arm - the ideal ratio being 4:1. Expert Don is proposing a 3:1 ratio, meaning less power, but critically less weight stressing the machine, if the team can get their calculations right. |
