Axle stations The Dark Riders want to swap the front axle from their two-wheel-drive lorry for a driven axle. They’ll transfer power through a 90-degree box to a third axle, which will give them four-wheel-drive, increasing traction. The added bonus of a third axle is that its differential acts as a second gearbox, reducing their gear ratio and vastly improving the turning force at the wheels. |
