Backyard bodgers' final The Marchwood Marauders take on the Three Fallers in the race to challenge the Scrapheap All Stars. Both of these finalists have top designs. The Marauders enjoy a quick getaway, courtesy of a mousetrap-inspired spring. After the turbo start, they rely on pedal power to get them across the line. The Three Fallers' design relies on energy stored in bungee cord that's stretched along the length of their vehicle, but after an initial burst of power and great acceleration, the energy is spent. Despite the Marauders' best efforts, the Three Fallers cross the line ahead of the army. |
