The All Stars
Inspired by the Great Dorset Steam Fair event that would be hosting the second of this year’s roadshows, the team of Scrapheap superstars decided to create a steam-powered welly wanger!
They mixed the medieval with the industrial and created a trebuchet with a steam fair twist. A few early setbacks, including poorly chosen rams, were quickly forgotten as they forged ahead and showed us all what makes them the All Stars.
They hoped to use an external source of steam and prayed that Scrapheap favourite and Dorset Steam Fair regular Richard ‘Turbo’ Vincent would play ball with his vintage steam truck.
Power would not be a problem, but accuracy appeared to be a secondary consideration. Remember, the All Stars' Welly Wanger was built in just 10 hours from scratch and, indeed, from scrap!
