Judge – Richard Gibbon
Richard Gibbon OBE is one of the UK’s great engineering minds. He worked as chief engineer at the National Railway Museum and more recently oversaw the restoration of Brunel’s megaship the SS Great Britain. As a regular Scrapheap expert, he also boasts the dubious honour of having worked with both teams, so no-one could be better qualified to judge this very special challenge.
The Clagster's expert – Jim Mitchell
Jim’s a gruff Scot with a love for old-style engineering. He used to run Heritage Engineering, who were the people to call if you wanted your steam engine to run again. A passion for traditional power sources made him a perfect match for the Clagsters, but how would he cope with their laidback Westcountry ways?
The Nerds' expert – Steve Mathews
Steve is a true engineering all-rounder with a passion for heavy haulage, but he’s never had to haul a load on water before. He has Scrapheap pedigree, having appeared as an expert on several occasions, most recently when he built a Monster Drag Truck!
