Sofa Speedway
The Sofa Speedway roadshow brought together 16 teams from all over the country. They converged on the National Motor museum at Beaulieu with their pieces of motorised furniture.
They had spent the previous five weeks bodging together their scrappy creations, but only the nippiest table or quickest chaise longue would get the chance to race against the cream of the 'heap – the Scrapheap's house team the All Stars. They, however, had just 10 hours to build their vehicle using only what they could find on the 'heap.
