Paddle Boats
This week's special challenge was inspired by the maritime achievements of a true engineering heavyweight – Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Throughout an extraordinary career, Brunel designed buildings, bridges, boats and railways that became icons of the Industrial Revolution. His giant paddle boats, the Great Eastern and Great Western set the standard for transatlantic crossings and to celebrate Brunel's seafaring success we set our very own Paddle Boat mega Challenge.
Teams from the UK and US were challenged to build paddle boats that could transport cargo across the Scrapheap Atlantic.
