Judge – Jem Stansfield
Aeronautical engineer and maker of madcap contraptions, Jem has previously featured on Scrapheap Challenge as an expert, so he wasn't short of an opinion or two on how our teams should go about making their men soar.
The Vikings' expert – Ian Batey
Stunt coordinator and monster truck promoter Ian Batey has been orchestrating daredevil displays, including the human cannonball, for over 20 years. A seasoned stuntman himself, when he's not busy jumping lorries on motorbikes or crushing cars in monster trucks he can be found in his Northampton workshop where he makes and modifies all his own vehicles and equipment.
The Beach Bums' expert – Mike Groves
Friend of the 'heap Mike Groves is an expert at launching things skywards. He runs Sky Launch, the biggest glider winch company in the UK, making high-speed winches for gliding clubs across the country. He previously offered up his engineering expertise for our Dambusters challenge in series seven, so we figured that if he can make a bomb bounce, he can make a dummy fly!
