This manic four-part series takes five top Scrapheap teams and gives them five weeks to build five (yes, five) freakish, monster, mutant motors at home. These basic rigs are then taken on a fantastic, hairy race across England, Scotland and Wales.
Stopping at three special locations, the teams have a local scrapyard and eight hours to get their hands dirty as they bish, bosh and bash their vehicles into a range of lunatic adaptations to deal with a set of tasty challenges. Fasten your seatbelts, the Scrappy Races are on.

CHALLENGES |
 AGILITY TEST.
It's time to find out if our bodgers' beasts are roadworthy with a timed agility test. Will they all cut the mustard?
SPEED TEST.
Now their machines are ready to rumble, can our Scrappy Racers make the long trip to south Wales? And if they do, who will prove to be the fastest on the flats of Pendine Sands?
OFF-ROADING.
Roads are for wimps – at least, that's what we've told our Scrappy Racers this week. Each team was asked to make their vehicle ready for a demonic off-road challenge. But were our bodgers up to the task?
WATER RACE.
It's time for the series finale – and where better to say bon voyage and arriverderci to our talented bodgers than on the open wave? Put your life jackets on – it's time for the water challenge ...
