Mud Monsters
This week the teams face a challenge to build vehicles that can manoeuvre through a field of deep, wet, sticky mud. And all the working four-wheel drives have been removed from the Scrapheap!

Munch Bunch
This is a bunch of bikers. During the day Dave 'Munch' Mansi, the team's captain, supervises a team of madcap forklift truck drivers. He spends most of his free time restoring bikes in his workshop. Munch and Nada Marinovic, who works as a transport manager, are a couple. Nada first got into bikes when her father would take her blackberrying on his old BSA. Andy Platt works with Dave as a forklift truck driver. He first got interested in mechanics driving long-distance trucks on the continent: if he broke down in Italy, he says, he had no choice but to fix the problem himself.
There isn't much that the team's technical consultant, Richard Hopkins, doesn't know about off-roading. He has held almost every off-road 4x4 tournament title in the UK.
So can Richard steer the Munch Bunch to victory? Or will it be a case of 'On yer bike!'? According to Nada, whether or not she marries Munch depends on the result ...

Barley Pickers
The Barley Pickers are a team of Devonshire farmers. Andy Barnes, the captain, is a dairy, arable and beef farmer. Keeping the wheels turning on the farm is one of his responsibilities. Robin Bright is self-employed and says he's regularly told: 'It's a good job you work for yourself nobody else is going give you a job.' Keith Sparks's day always starts with checking and feeding livestock (which includes 31,000 cockerels and 100 beef cattle), but like most farmers he can and does turn his hand to more or less anything.
The team's technical consultant, Toby Cox, is an officer in the Royal Engineers, with a passion for off-road motorsports: he built his own 4x4 from scratch and competes regularly.
Clearly the farmers know a thing or two about mud. But can they cover themselves in glory?
