Preliminary heat B: Aerial bomber

targetThe challenge: to drop small paint-bombs on a giant target, using some kind of radio-controlled aircraft up to 25 feet (7.6 metres) long.

The target, marked on the floor of a disused quarry in Bedfordshire, has three scoring zones: 100 points for a bull's-eye, 50 points for the middle ring and 25 points for the outer ring. The winner is the team with the highest score after a fixed number of bombing runs. Accuracy, not speed, could be the key.
